Where it all began

Qabano is above all an adventure that evokes a return to one's roots. Originally from the Drôme, a region where nature flourishes, Tobias spent 20 years in Berlin, a veritable breeding ground for creativity. It was there that the idea of a brand combining vintage design, ecology and creativity was born.

And so Qabano was born. Inspired by the landscapes of his childhood and the artistic energy of Berlin, Tobias designed a brand that combines aesthetics, durability and a playful touch. With pencil in hand, he creates every toy and object. His creative mind and deft hands bring each project to life, from the first sketch to final production.

At Qabano, every object reflects craftsmanship and authenticity, with creations that are both beautiful and fun to build. Tobias combines his love of design with his desire to give people a taste for the handmade. The idea behind Qabano? To create objects that reconnect people with their creativity, while remaining rooted in respect for nature.

What drives us

At Qabano, our mission is simple: to create objects that are durable, beautiful and respectful of the environment, while remaining 100% Made in France. We choose wood that's good for the planet and good for the eyes, for creations that combine quality and nature.

When it comes to values, we're serious (but not too serious). Ecology is our priority: sustainable wood, responsible production. No giant factories here, just skilled hands transforming ideas into unique pieces. Creativity? Ah, here we're unbeatable. With a zest for innovation, we mix it all up to create objects that will make you want to ditch Netflix for an afternoon of DIY.

Where we take you

But our vision goes further. At Qabano, we want to do more than embellish your living room or invade your children's bedroom. We want to reconnect people, not only with each other, but also with their inner child (the one who loved to build tree houses). Our objects are designed to create moments of sharing and occasions for getting together, whether with family, friends or alone. By assembling our creations, our customers rediscover the simple pleasure of building with their hands and personalizing unique objects that come to life under their fingers.

Our vision? To continue surprising you with designs that are as surprising as they are practical, while respecting the planet. In short, we want Qabano to make you say, "Hey, I put this together myself, and it's got a bang to it!

Laser cutting: science meets art

At Qabano, laser cutting is at the heart of our manufacturing process. But how exactly does it work? A concentrated, ultra-precise laser beam is directed onto the surface of the wood. Under the effect of heat, this beam cuts the material with near-perfect accuracy, following the contours of our designs. The wood is cut cleanly, without splinters or imperfections, resulting in pieces with clean, perfectly defined edges.

This technology enables us to work to very fine tolerances, so that each piece fits naturally with the others, without nails or glue. It's thanks to this process that we can create complex, detailed shapes while guaranteeing strength and durability. Whether for toys or decorative objects, each piece is cut with surgical precision for smooth, intuitive assembly.

Beyond the aesthetic aspect, this technology also has an ecological advantage. By optimizing the cutting process, we minimize material waste, using each plank of wood to its full potential. A precise, efficient process that enables us to produce objects that are both beautiful, durable and environmentally friendly.
